We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable and will also oversee accounts payable and other components of our overall financial operations.
SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, with a primary focus on accounts receivable. This role includes maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The Accounting Manager will also manage accounts payable and support other financial operations as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and credit management
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of customer payments
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding
Accounts Payable Management:
- Supervise the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and vendor management
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all account’s payable transactions
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and summaries for management
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate and support external audits and reviews
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting admin and staff
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Other Duties:
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives
- Assist in special projects and initiatives as required
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including accounts receivable and accounts payable management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
