Fines Ford Lincoln has an immediate need for a full-time Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk. This is a wonderful opportunity for a detail oriented, deadline driven individual. Previous AR/AP experience required. The role reports to the Controller and is required to work Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm.
- Daily balancing of the Service and Parts department float, including the resolution of discrepancies
- Balance the Point of Sale (POS) on a daily basis
- Ongoing releasing and posting of journal entries
- Follow up on warranty payment discrepancies with warranty administrator
- Process accounts receivables including:
- Prepare weekly aging report
- Receive cheques, match with invoice & statement
- Liaise with customers regarding arrears receivables and notify Controller, when appropriate
- Initiate credit & reference checks for customer accounts
- Accounts payables function, including:
- Preparing cheques, updating records, obtain necessary signatures
- Communicate with vendors regarding overpayment, invoice errors, etc.
- Preparation of daily bank deposit
- Distribution of incoming mail and prepare daily outgoing mail
- Back-up support for main reception
- May provide relief/back up support to the Deal Administrator during peak times and absences
- Ad-hoc support provided to the Controller & General Manager, on an as needed basis with administrative tasks
- Prior experience in an AR/AP role is preferred
- Previous experience in a dealership environment is desired, but not mandatory
- Completion of college level Business Administration program, specializing in Accounting
