Job Summary
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Faddis Concrete Products, the successful candidate is a professional responsible for analyzing financial data and providing insights to support business decisions. The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, and communicate financial information to management. They also evaluate financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This position is based in Mitchell, Ontario.
Job Requirements
- Analyze financial statements to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize financial software for complex data analysis.
- Supervise and maintain financial records, including journal entries and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and industry regulations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Present financial information to stakeholders, management, and auditors.
- Train and develop junior accountants, guiding best practices and resolving accounting issues.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team performance.
- Collaborate with auditors to support financial audits and ensure accuracy.
- Assist with tax processes and compliance requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis using Excel and other financial software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in financial records.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field in manufacturing.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle, as there will be some travel between the Mitchell facility and the Seaforth facilities.
