As a member of the HR team, you will handle processing weekly and biweekly payrolls for manufacturing plants and offices across Canada. In this high-volume union & non-union process, your ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines will be complemented by your keen attention to detail. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will contribute to a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update our HRIS system
- Accurate processing of hourly paid and salaried employees
- Manage employee benefit enrollments including HRIS system data updates
- Manage user security and access information
- Create and maintain workflows and forms
- Update the system with new requirements from various unionized and non-unionized facilities
- Conduct system upgrade maintenance
- Develop and maintain necessary forms and reports
- Update the system hierarchy structure as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing using an HRIS system
- Knowledge of Canadian and US labor standards is an asset
- Experience in a unionized, multi-facility environment
- Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce and proficiency in Excel
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines
- Excellent Fluency with English communication
