Fibracast is a global leading membrane technology innovator and manufacturer. The company has built off the lessons learned over the last 20 years of membrane applications, to develop a revolutionary, patented hybrid immersed ultrafiltration membrane called FibrePlate. The company manufactures the FibrePlate membrane at its world class manufacturing facility and head office based out of Hannon, Ontario. We are seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, highly organized with strong interpersonal skills. This position will be responsible for the following:
- Act as finance business partner to Systems Engineering team to track project financials including project gross margins and cash flow.
- Monitoring multiple project and department budgets to provide department heads with key financial metrics.
- Tracking of Spending for various government funding programs and preparation of required financial reports.
- Preparation of monthly financial reporting package including consolidated financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, updating forecasts and providing variance analysis.
- Work with finance team on month end and year-end close activities from account reconciliations to financial statement preparation.
- Act as a main internal contact to company’s audit firm during interim and year end financial statement audits.
- Assisting with bi-weekly payroll entry ensuring payroll is processed in correct and timely manner.
- Monitoring cash flow, working capital analysis and review of Accounts Receivable and Payable balances.
- Preparation and review of various remittances and statutory filings.
Experience, Qualifications & Education
- Bachelors in Accounting or Business.
- CPA Designation
- 5+ years of experience in Project Accounting Role
- Experience working with QuickBooks or other Accounting Software an asset
- Previous experience with payroll software. Experience working with ADP software an asset
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate in a professional manner
- Proactive and Takes Initiative
- Ability to work well independently as well as collaborate with other
- Ability to set priorities and execute tasks in a timely manner
