What you will do:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial transactions of revenue. You will conduct financial analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting that allows management to make data-driven decisions. This role will give you the exposure to collaborate with key business stakeholders and gain more insight into corporate and commercial operations.
The Senior Accountant's role would suit a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career by gaining valuable commercial and analytical experience. We are continually investing in employee career growth and development.
- Overall responsibility for the invoicing and payment reminder/ collection processes, working with the accounts receivable clerk, with emphasis being effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions
- Complete month-end processing tasks, analysis, and reports, such as balance sheet, revenue, and product reporting
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in the reporting of metrics and related transactions
- Analyze data to provide meaningful insights and ensure completeness
- Ensure accounting practices adhere to accounting standards, comply with company policy, and align with the commercial terms of customer contracts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with team members from all levels of the organization to ensure alignment on commercial terms, invoicing, and collection matters
- Ensure all regulatory and tax compliance requirements (related to revenue) are filed accurately and on time, including commissions
Requirements
We want you to succeed, so you will need:
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably as a Senior Accountant in an industry role exposed to revenue accounting or in an audit role within a medium to large CPA firm
- CPA or equivalent certification completed or nearing completion
- A resilient, flexible, solution-oriented approach to addressing areas of improvement, including digging into issues
- Interpret accounting standards and recommend accounting treatment for complex transactions in multiple jurisdictions
- Comfortable as an individual contributor, collaborative team member, and becoming a leader
Nice to have:
- A track record of improving productivity and implementing improvements that drive efficiencies and business performance
- Advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
Salary range: $82,000 to $95,000 per year
Please note that the base pay offered may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and experience, as well as business and organizational needs.
