Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable - vendor management and communication, monitor AP inbox, ensure proper flow of invoices through AP, and process payments in a timely manner.
- Invoicing and accounts receivable - receive and record payments and make bank deposits.
- Banking – monitor balances of business and personal accounts and complete transfers.
- Diarize monthly and other recurring payments.
- Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support the Financial Accountant with other tasks, as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma, preferably in accounting.
- 1-2 years of experience with accounts payable and cash.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Sage 300 and Beanworks (or other AP automation software) is an asset.
- Exceptional people skills (collaborator, problem solver).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and multitask at the same time.
- Perform with a high level of integrity and authenticity.
