We are a mid-town accounting firm looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to be part of the office administrative pool. The applicant must be able to work within a confidential client-based environment, be flexible and adaptable to multiple duties. The applicant must also be able to work both independently and comfortably within a team environment.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Assist with the processing of financial statements, tax related documents and other client documents including:
o Edit financial statements, client reporting documents, letters, provide filing and payment instructions to clients
o Deliver client financial statements, tax returns and other correspondence in a timely secure electronic format
o File personal and corporate tax returns, and other information return filings with the Canada Revenue Agency using electronic filing services after receiving appropriate client authorization
o Draft letters, memorandums, reports and presentations for clients
Electronic client document management, receiving and delivering information in a secure manner
Ability to work extended office hours during busy seasons, primarily March, April and June
Skill requirements:
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe and Outlook
Knowledge of Caseware and CaseView is an asset (training will be provided)
Minimum of 2 years experience in an office environment
§ Prior experience in an accounting firm an asset
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
