What will you be doing?
Successful Senior Accountants who join our practice are analytical and procedural in their day-to-day activities. They are dependable, and the company trusts their ability to prepare and analyze all financial documents. Duties and responsibilities of a Senior Accountant may include:
- Preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS or US GAAP for clients in a variety of businesses and industries.
- Effectively communicate within our team, with clients, and relevant government agencies.
- Build positive working relationships with clients and other members of the team and respond to requests and suggestions.
- Full cycle accounting for clients including payroll, HST and all relevant accounting task
- Preparation of corporate and personal tax returns and other relevant information returns.
- Complete additional projects or related duties as required.
- Knowledge of taxprep, caseware and full cycle audit would be preferred
What are we looking for?
- A University degree in a relevant field.
- You have completed or are currently working towards your CPA designation.
- A minimum of three (3) years of public accounting experience including the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
- Excellent computer skills, with experience using CaseWare, Taxprep and MS Office (including Excel and Word).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
