Key Responsibilities:
1. General Ledger Management:
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies.
• Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely completion.
2. Reconciliations:
• Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts, intercompany accounts, and other financial accounts.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or variances promptly, escalating issues as needed.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for all reconciliation activities.
3. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and variance analyses.
• Provide support for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Identify trends or anomalies in financial data and propose corrective actions.
4. Compliance and Controls:
• Ensure all financial activities adhere to regulatory standards and internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Proactively identify and address risks associated with accounting operations.
5. Process Improvement:
• Contribute to the enhancement of accounting systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in the implementation of new technologies or tools to streamline operations.
6. Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including treasury, risk, and compliance, to align financial activities with broader organizational goals.
• Provide support for special projects or ad hoc requests from management.
