Position Summary
As the Senior Manager or Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will primarily be responsible to lead our finance team in forecasting, strategic analysis, and financial planning. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of professional experience in finance, a proven ability to manage complex financial models, drive budget processes, and provide insights that contribute to strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will prepare clear and thoughtful analyses in support of a large variety of deliverables and presentations for senior management.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast and prepare actuals to business plan variance reviews as well as supporting analyses to understand drivers
- Strive for highest possible forecast accuracy and continuously improve forecast process and driver inputs
- Compare actuals to forecasts and business plan and identify unusual or unexpected variances and follow up with appropriate contacts to understand and/or assess the needs to update forecast
- Clearly summarize variances to prior period and the business plan in writing and verbally to senior management
- Support monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting of key operating metrics for management reporting
- On an annual basis, work with other finance, operations and senior management to develop and consolidate a 10-year business plan. Distill the detailed consolidated business plan into presentations for senior management, clearly and concisely explaining the key drivers of the plan
- Prepare files and tables for ad-hoc analyses for senior management that are clear and easy to understand
- Oversee the work of more junior team members, ensuring we maintain the high quality and timeliness of our deliverables
- Lead or act as a trusted advisor for strategic initiatives, as required, including support for acquisitions and integrations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, with demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity
- Undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance
- Working knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles
- CPA designation required, MBA, CFA or equivalent considered a strong asset
- Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex situations and make effective recommendations
- Excellent organizational skills and capability to effectively manage priorities and apply a pragmatic and efficient approach to timely handle complex assignments
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of working with individuals across various levels and backgrounds
- Ability to prioritize, critically analyze, solve and where appropriate, escalate issues
- Strong decision-making and analytical skills
- A self-starter with strong attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines
