Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Associate Director of Finance to oversee and manage financial reporting and operations for a portfolio of funds. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team, manage investor relations, and contribute to the success of a top-tier private equity real estate investment firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with ASPE for a portfolio of funds.
- Review and refine monthly forecasts to maintain covenant adherence, liquidity availability, and accurate projections for acquisitions and dispositions.
- Oversee the quarterly board reporting process to ensure precise and comprehensive inputs for board materials.
- Manage lender compliance by preparing and submitting quarterly compliance reports.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring assumptions are accurate and reasonable.
- Act as the primary liaison during the annual audit process, collaborating closely with auditors.
- Oversee investor transactions, including capital calls, returns, preferred returns, and gain distribution files.
- Handle investor inquiries professionally and promptly, providing accurate and thorough responses.
- Lead and mentor a team of four direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- CPA designation required; real estate experience is highly desirable.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in finance or business, with strong skills in modeling and investment analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, along with familiarity with Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to professional excellence.
- Team-oriented with outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing competing priorities under tight deadlines.
