Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Downtown Toronto
Working Model: On-Site (5 Days/Week)
Our client seeks a motivated Financial Analyst to contribute to building a "best-in-class" finance function. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, treasury management, and financial and impact reporting for Renewable and Transition Funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day fund operations, including treasury functions, liquidity management, and capital transactions.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements for private fund investors.
- Address and resolve investor queries.
- Support capital events by preparing operational binders and reviewing capital/distribution notices.
- Participate in and oversee the annual audit process.
- Prepare annual tax financial statements.
- Collaborate with corporate and global teams on various reporting initiatives.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and create presentations on fund financial, impact, and operational results.
- Lead special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Professional accounting designation (completed or in progress).
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with private funds experience as an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated leadership and initiative.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Excel and strong financial systems expertise.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to workload and professional development.
