Junior Financial Analyst
Salary - $60,000 to $65,000 plus bonus
Hybrid - 2 days in office 3 days working from home

Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A and will be the primary support role assisting in all areas of planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis for the business. Note this role may also be focused on supporting one or more global improvement initiatives on a near full-time basis for a temporary period.
The Financial Planning & Analysis function supports all areas of the business in planning, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis. Our objective is to provide exceptional customer service to our business partners.
Major tasks and duties:
Duties & Responsibilities
Support the analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, margins, operating expenses and working capital
Leverage business intelligence tools to develop dashboard reports and KPIs for all areas of the business
Develop and complete annual plans and quarterly financial forecasts for assigned business units
Prepare monthly presentations and financial reports for senior management
Analyze departmental performance to budget and prior year and prepare commentary for management
Develop thorough understanding of key performance drivers and develop scorecards to track performance
Responsible for ad hoc financial analyses of customer, product, or service related issues and opportunities
Perform post-mortem analysis on business cases and identify opportunities to improve processes
Provide financial support to the business units; business partners include direct interaction at the mid/senior management level
Work with cross-functional businesses on initiatives and new project as applicable, including but not limited to profitability, productivity, etc.
Develop business cases including the development of financial forecasts and discounted cash flow analyses
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Post-secondary degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or Commerce
Possesses an Accounting Designation (or near completion)
3 + years’ experience in a financial analyst role or above with progressive experience within a large complex organization
Prior distribution/logistics and/or consumer packaged goods industry experience required
Technically savvy and has Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills
Strong business and financial acumen; able to link business requirements with financial objectives
Strong communication skills - clear written and verbal communication; know your audience and communicate accordingly
Problem solving and systemic thinking skills- critical analytics/ diagnosis; focus on continuous improvement
Strong customer service focus; ability to relate to people at all levels and build trusted relationships
Good prioritization and decision making skills and judgment to drive the right impact
