In this role as the Financial Analyst, you will empower people across the business with information as well as supporting our entrepreneurial culture through building, testing and iterating hypotheses. To do that we need people with analytical expertise and the motivation to apply it to prestige skin care.
This role is key to continuing to move us towards our goal to be industry leading. All our analytics must be built on a solid foundation of complete and accurate accounting records. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity of our financial records while also performing strong FP&A on our financial results. Similarly, we need an individual who has the foundation of accounting but is also eager to leverage this foundation into action.

While the position is an accountant primarily, the individual must also be willing to step into new situations and learn on the fly as a business partner.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Accounting responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance of complete and accurate accounting records.
- Play a key role in the month end accounting process.
- Own the posting and reconciliation of accounting tasks such as sales postings, inventory provisions, and invoice/fees accruals.
- Review, post and approve entries and schedules created by other team members such as bank reconciliation, PPE schedule, and prepaids.
- Evaluate and adopt accounting solutions to new or one-off transactions.
- Overseeing monthly/quarterly internal controls testing and reviews.
- Support the annual budgeting and monthly re-forecasting processes for capex and other areas of our P&L.
- Investigate and explain Actual vs Budget variances.
- Liaise with our tax preparation professionals to ensure they have all the required information for our monthly/annual tax filings.
System responsibilities:
- Ensure data transfer between various systems is functional and investigate discrepancies as they arise.
- Design and oversee implementation of data flow between new systems as the need arises.
- Support future AR automation implementation.
Other Responsibilities:
- Reporting weekly sales data to our parent company
- Sales postings for our more intricate channels
- Support our AP with payment approvals and postings where needed.
- Support our AR with reviews and reconciliations.
Experience and Competencies Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related field is required.
- Completed or approaching completion of CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation is required.
- Ability to interpret financial information and explain it to non-financial professionals.
- Strong leadership skills (planning, communication, relationship building, influencing).
- Excellent initiative and follow-up skills, and ability to conduct a variety of responsibilities.
- Demonstrate an analytical mindset, enjoy problem solving and understand how to ask the right questions to deliver solution focused outcomes.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized
- Curious and willing to step outside of own comfort zone into new projects.
- Adaptive and resourceful person for fast-paced work environment.

Working conditions:
Hybrid office work schedule at 60% in office. Additional hours as business needs dictate and with notice.
