Currently we are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our growing team! Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the Accounting team in all aspects of their duties. The responsibilities of the role include, but may not be limited to:
· Focus on Accounts Receivable
· Accounts Payable
· Vendor and Customer Management
· Account Reconciliations using excel, multiple online platforms, and in-house system (Sage 300)
· Creation of Budgeting and Forecasting Models
· Collaboration on system rollouts
· Ad hoc reporting and analysis using excel
· Other duties as assigned
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Recently completed post-secondary education in business, accounting or related program
· Experience in a role focusing on accounts receivable would be considered an asset
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, advanced knowledge of excel
· Understanding of generally accepted accounting principals
· Accounting software knowledge; Sage 300 experience would be considered an asset
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to manage time to meet deadlines
· Analytical and problem solving skills
· Demonstrated ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work in open concept office
