Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior Accountant will work closely with various departments to provide insights and support for financial decision-making.
Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and collections.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft for financial reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with corporate finance teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior accounting staff as needed.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role or similar capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, account reconciliation, and corporate finance practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
