Job Overview
Four Points Construction Inc, is a premier custom home builder with fifty employees and as a controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (ASPE) and reporting to the general manager.
Duties
- Responsible for all general ledger accounts for all related corporations.
- Monthly reconciliations for significant accounts
- Ensuring timely and accurate government remittances
- Approval of payroll
- Preparation of annual and monthly budgets ,
- Each month preparation of monthly financial statements ( balance sheet and income statement)
- Monthly report of “actual” against budget – updating budget.
- Providing management with its key performance indicators each Friday.
- Ensuring the accuracy of customer invoices and related back up support.
- Responsible for performance of accounting support staff.
- Preparing year end
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Full proficiency in English
- Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Excel expertise
- Solid analytical skills
- Willingness to learn new processes with a growing company
Experience
- 5+ years of work experience in a construction or in a job work in process environment
- Full knowledge of QuickBooks Pro functions.
Education
- Post 4 year finance\accounting program
- CPA designation or leading to accreditation.
