Senior Manager, Accounting & Assurance
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Manager, Accounting & Assurance for our Airdrie, Alberta office. As an integral member of our leadership team, the Senior Manager will play a key role in driving growth, cultivating client relationships, and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage client engagements, and provide high-quality audit, tax, and advisory services.
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
- Review tax provisions for clients
- Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for various clients
- Keep up to date on the content and practical applications of tax, accounting and assurance standards, and know how to access and research professional and technical materials
- Design and review, processes, procedure, and workflow within the department
- Collaborate with managers and other senior managers for capacity and resource planning
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a proven track record of success in client service and business development.
- Strong technical skills in accounting, auditing, and tax compliance.
- Experience working with Caseware/Caseview, Jazzit, Keystone, Excel, Profile
- Advanced Canadian tax knowledge – personal, corporate, excise and/or Advanced knowledge on Canadian GAAPs – ASPE and ASNFPO
- Ability to mentor, coach and develop junior staff
