Tax Manager, TEP
Kenway Mack Slusarchuk Stewart LLP (“KMSS”), Chartered Professional Accountants, is a mid-sized public accounting firm proudly serving local clients in Calgary and the Bow Valley area. We are currently recruiting for a tax manager to join our downtown tax team. Our current Tax Team consists of three Partners, three Managers, two newly designated CPAs, and a Tax Technician. You will work directly with our Tax Partners and be surrounded by like-minded individuals possessing significant tax expertise and knowledge. Preference will be given to candidates possessing a TEP designation.
The ideal trust and estate enthusiast will have 10 plus years of public accounting experience and the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course;
- Skilled at providing exceptional service in a client facing role to clients, their advisors, and to our internal partners and staff;
- Ability to prepare and review estate and trust returns;
- Attention to detail and experience working in a collaborative team dynamic;
- Passionate about mentoring and training junior team members;
- Experience advising clients on a variety of tax matters primarily in the trust and estate area;
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Experience with software including iFirm, CaseWare, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office; and,
- Enthusiastic about small and mid-sized businesses.
