Job Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in supporting Jamac's financial operations. In this role, you will process and manage vendor invoices, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure our accounts are reconciled and up to date. Responsibilities
- Invoice Management: Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely payments in compliance with company policies.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies to keep accounts current and accurate.
- Payments: Prepare and process weekly payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized financial records
- Vendor Relations: Communicate effectively with vendors to manage inquiries, payment status, and ensure positive relationships.
- Month-End Close: Assist with month-end tasks, including AP aging reports and account reconciliation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing to address and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Work Experience: 1 - 2 years in accounting or related field
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, Spire is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills for data management and reporting.
- Familiarity with general ledger coding and reconciliation.
- Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
- Detail oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CAPP or CAPA certification is a plus.
