Position Overview
Ensure timely payment of Accounts Payable invoices and reconciliation of appropriate internal and external accounts.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
• Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
• Enter invoices for payment
• Process backup reports after data entry
• Prepare vendor cheques for mailing
• Prepare manual cheques as and when required
• Prepare manual journal entries for accrued expenses
• Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Understanding of key accounting principles e.g. debits/credits, journal entries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with a team
• Strong organizational skills
Education
• Post-secondary education is an asset but not required
