Description
One Full-Time Contract to May 2026(with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent)
This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources and Payroll Functions. Responsibilities will include:
- Assistwith HR tasks
- Prepare and maintain employee-related documents
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis
- Assistwith the implementation of the Learning Management software system, including inputting, maintenance and updating of employee records
- Administrative / Project work
Position Requirements
- Essential - Post secondary education in Business or Human Resources
- 3-5 years working knowledge of payroll procedures
- Knowledge of legislation that pertains to area of expertise (Payroll Legislation, ESA etc.)
- Desirable - Education in payroll administration including certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must
- Ability to multi-task and effective organization skills are required
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Able to work independently and as a part of a team
- Experience working with highly confidential information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
- Must have access to reliable transportation

Starting Hourly Rate: $24.95 / Hour
Office Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Office Expectations:The in-office expectations for this position are a minimum of 2-3 days per week after probation/training has been completed. During the probationary period, the expectation is to be in the office at least 4 days per week.
