Responsibilities could consist of:
Accounts Payable / Accounting:
- Responsible for submitting Accounts Payable to Controller
- Processing accounts payable from start to cheque run with attention to detail
- Assists with prep for monthly financial statements and year end closing activities
- Prepares and records Journal entries as directed by controller
Administration:
- Assist, Administer and processing invoicing
- Willingness to learn about construction business an asset
- Customer correspondence as directed including statements
Proficient with Technology:
- Advance Excel training or work equivalent
- Must be comfortable with a multitude of current technology. Proficient with the following computer environments: Microsoft 365, and Internet Explorer and Outlook
- A working knowledge and experience using SAGE 50 (formerly known as Simply Accounting) is an asset.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in math
- High attention to detail, multi-tasking, accuracy and timelines
- Ability to work independently and with a group important
- Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in accounting or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role of a mid-sized business is an asset.
- Experience / understanding of construction is an asset.
