Role Description
The Analyst will be responsible for updating financial models and reporting for ongoing Capital Developments' projects. The successful candidate will also be required to support in the underwriting of new opportunities. Capital Developments is looking for a self-starter who is outgoing, organized, hardworking and enjoys working in a small office environment.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Evaluating opportunities for residential condo, multi-family and commercial developments;
- Collaborating with lenders to secure financing for land acquisition and construction;
- Assisting in the creation of opportunity pitchbooks for presentation to potential investors;
- Analyzing project cash flows and preparing sensitivity analysis to study the impact on the overall project;
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting for internal and external distribution;
- Participating, collaborating and providing recommendations on projects and identifying efficiencies for continuous improvements;
- Sourcing and reporting on current market data and intelligence;
- Assisting with special projects as required.
Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate or a related field;
- Advanced financial modelling skills using Excel;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate well;
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond to deadlines on multiple projects in a timely and professional manner;
- Highly driven, committed, organized and flexible with the ability to meet challenging deadlines and multiple priorities;
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
Candidates with at least 2 years of work experience are preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Capital Developments currently has a hybrid work structure with employees expected to be in office 4 days per week; this is subject to change at any time.
