Air is the first Creative Ops platform: a system of record for creative teams. Our product automates the mindless tasks that creatives and marketers do every day to manage content, unlocking creativity through image recognition, automated versioning, and approval workflows. Air launched in March 2021 and is backed by world-class venture capital firms including Tiger Global, Headline Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, WndrCo, and Slack Ventures.
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office attendance at least 3 days/week.
The Role
We are hiring our founding member of the Strategic Finance team to help us build and scale this function. This person will report to the Head of Finance & BizOps and partner directly with our leadership team. As the Strategic Finance Lead, you will help define the objective and priorities of the function. You will be have significant exposure to cross-functional, strategic initiatives, and you will go deep to help develop framework and analyses to help drive the business forward.
Key responsibilities of the role day to day will include:
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Build and maintain comprehensive financial and operating models for the company
- Track, analyze, and forecast key business or financial KPIs to drive actionable insights and framework-driven decision making
- Facilitate the bi-annual financial forecast, budget planning, and goal setting process
- Strategy & Partnerships:
- Build and own relationships with the leadership team and partner closely with each team to assist with roadmap prioritization
- Develop ROI evaluation frameworks and lead ad-hoc analyses or business cases to influence operational and investment decisions
- Insights & Reporting:
- Prepare external-facing reporting, including materials for Board of Directors meetings and deliverables for investors and lenders
- Financial Ops:
- Facilitate deal negotiations with external vendors, partners or customers
- Manage outsourced accounting team to ensure timely financial deliverables
Requirements

Qualifications
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in strategic finance, FP&A, bizops, investment banking, or private equity / venture capital
- Experience in an in-house role at a technology company is strongly preferred
- Superior communication skills and experience partnering with all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to details
- Proficiency in SQL and BI tools is a plus

The compensation range for this role is CAD $140,000 to $210,000.
