We are currently searching for the Senior Financial Analyst to join our Head Office.
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR). This role also involves managing intra-group service fee documentation and providing backup for regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis)
- Prepare the month-end financial forecasting report;
- Prepare the year-end financial forecasting report;
- Prepare pro-forma financial statements for annual business plan
- Prepare 3-year forecasted financial statements as part of annual business plan
- Prepare 3-year pro-forma financial statement for mid-long term strategic plan
- Conduct various Financial Planning & Analysis requested by the senior management
- Prepare forecasted NIM considering the maturity structure of loan and deposit
- Analyze and track actual vs. plan on month-end/ year –end.
- Participate short term and mid-long term objectives
- Provide support on capital budget analysis per requests
- Provide support on analyzing budget disbursement.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare RCC materials on a monthly basis for submission to Parent Bank
- Analyze the month-to-month and year-to-year profit variances of the bank performance and forecast the performance progress to contribute to achieving long-term goals of the bank
- Create various reports submitted to Parent Bank
- Prepare Management Information Report on a quarterly basis for OSFI submission
- Prepare the Strategic Dashboard for monthly VP meetings in order to provide the detailed analysis to prepare unforeseen economic situation
- Perform Loan and Deposit trend analysis report to monitor the bank performance progress and identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide support on intercompany transaction report
- Conduct weekly business report by reviewing the achievements and plans of the department to find potential opportunities to accomplish the department goals
- Act as back up for analyzing monthly, quarterly, yearly financial results and Bank’s KPI
- Act as back up for weekly and monthly FX reports
ICOFR (SOX: Sarbanes-Oxley Act)
- Compile and prepare quarterly ICOFR change management report
- Review the annual test evidence and test report from other department, and report to the senior manager
Intra-group service fee
- Provide support on the review of Intra-group service fee prepared by Parent Bank
- Provide support on the benefit test across the Bank
- Provide support on the preparation of the required documentations for CRC approval and annual external audit
Regulatory Reporting
- Act as 2nd backup for the regulatory financial returns to OSFI
- Act as 2nd backup for daily liquidity monitoring
- Act as 2nd backup for the quarterly regulatory returns submitted to FSS (Financial Supervisory Service) in Korea
- Assist in compliance reporting
- Participate CDIC, if requested
Other
- Other duties assigned by Senior manager and senior management
- Provide assistance to external and internal auditor as required
Skills/Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, economics, accounting or related discipline
- Must possess sound accounting background, enrollment to CPA program is an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficient skills with other desktop applications including Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Korean and English
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organization skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and produce results within right timeframes
- Keen attention to details
- Working experience over 2 years in banking industry
