Our client in the construction industry is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant to join their team in Richmond Hill. This role involves managing the full accounts payable cycle while providing support for a variety of accounting tasks.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
Location: Richmond Hill, full-time, in-office

Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing expense accruals and reconciliations.
- File monthly sales tax returns and ensure compliance.
- Prepare revenue accruals.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and associated reporting tasks.
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, goods received, and vendor invoices.
- Reconcile vendor statements, maintain vendor accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
- Process payments to vendors following established procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a general accounting role.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or related.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
