Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Toronto, ON
Length of Assignment: Temporary
Salary: $70,000/year
Our client in
Toronto, ON is actively looking for a
Payroll Administrator to join their team.
Position Description:
- Responsible for processing the bi-weekly payroll of 700 individuals, both salaried and hourly across multiple Canadian provinces (ON, BC, SK and QC)
- Process payroll updates including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, etc.
- Meet strict deadlines and ensure employees are paid accurately.
- Issue ROE's when required and handle related requests from Service Canada
- Submit Statistics Canada Reports
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding payroll policies and procedures and research specific areas of concern.
- Prepare Management reports, when requested.
- Maintain employee files.
- Ensure accuracy of vacation accruals, garnishees, etc.
- Administer the Benefits plan.
- Obtain new employee backchecks (criminal, credit).
- Post available positions on various employment websites.
- Keep current with legislation and employment law, and have knowledge of both in ON, BC, SK and QC.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Required:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a full cycle Payroll processing role
- Experience will multi-provincial payroll including: ON, BC, SK and QC
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to do basic math.
- Excellent organization, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Able to deal with confidential issues professionally and with the utmost discretion.
- CPM/PCP designation an asset
- Experience with ADP/Workforce Now an asset
