Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on, and problem-solving experienced Head of Finance to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have an accounting/finance degree, with at least 10 years of experience ideally in e-commerce, CPG, or a relevant field.
As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of both the Controlling and Commercial Finance agenda acting in a CFO capacity and a key member of the leadership team. This role has full end-to-end accountability for finance in the US and Canada. The role also includes statutory reporting, tax, insurance, company administration, and legal requirements. Partnering with the rest of the business teams, this role provides finance leadership and support for the delivery of both short-term results as well as long-term growth ambition for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full accountability for operations and controls of key finance processes; order to cash, procure to pay, record to report for the Business.
- Risk Management and operationalization of Controls Framework. Work together with the holding company controller to drive process and control excellence.
- Understand key performance drivers and frame investment choices. Perform analysis of actual results to forecast and advise the leadership team of proactive actions to ensure that the team achieves its targets and is positioned to achieve its long-term strategic goals.
- Leading for Growth / Building the long-term strategy: Partner with the leadership team in making multi-year strategic choices and identify opportunities to enable long-term competitive growth.
- Analyze existing processes, procedures and systems to identify areas for improvement in financial operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality of operations.
- Review and update the existing financial metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and support to the finance teams to ensure successful implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee tax compliance and reporting with the support of 3P Partners
- Partner with the rest of the cross-functional leadership members to deliver in-year financial targets.
- Co-lead regular business reviews with the holding company's global business leaders.
- Works together with the holding company food service division CFO to align on financial reporting and planning duties such as monthly close, monthly forecasting, and annual planning to ensure that the FSD business is fully aligned with the holding company requirements.
- North America statutory requirements – this role is a legal Company Director, taking the lead on company administration matters on behalf of the leadership team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent. An accounting designation is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in preferable e-commerce, CPG, or relevant fields.
- Experience in financial controls and budgetary controls.
- Experience in building and managing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
