Role Highlights:
As a key member of our team, you will handle full-cycle bookkeeping, manage clients, and play a vital role in financial analysis, personalized recommendations, and client relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Run payroll through QBO or QB Desktop, ensuring proper deductions and issuing ROEs and T4s.
- Pull information from the CRA represent a client site for payroll, GST/HST, and corporate taxes, and communicate efficiently with CRA agents regarding client accounts.
- File GST/HST returns, payroll remittances, and T4s in the CRA site.
- Collaborate with clients to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies or inquiries.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient bookkeeping processes and workflows.
- Manage a client portfolio, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional services.
- Analyze financial reports and offer personalized recommendations for clients' financial health.
- Proactively engage with clients, providing valuable insights and suggestions for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and customized bookkeeping records tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide clear explanations of the bookkeeping process and its benefits.
- Achieve KPIs, follow up with clients, and evaluate team performance.
- Analyze bookkeeping data, reconcile accounts, and collaborate with entrepreneurs.
- Set up bookkeeping files from closing trial balances, including payroll and all balance sheet entries.
Qualifications:
- Significant bookkeeping experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workflow based on deadlines and client list.
- Profound analytical skills and proficiency in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and/or Xerox.
- Familiarity with CRM and time management tools.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Troubleshooting aptitude for resolving bookkeeping tool-related issues.
- Independent work ethic with leadership ability.
- Demonstrated eagerness to explore innovative approaches and readiness to mentor fellow team members.

Probation period:
Zetique maintains a structured performance evaluation process, which includes a 6-month probationary period for all new hires. During this period, the new team member’s performance will be assessed based on their adherence to established processes, accuracy of work, communication skills, and overall contribution to the team. Regular feedback and performance discussions will be conducted to ensure alignment with company expectations and objectives.
