Day In The Life:
- Ensure compliance with Federal & Provincial payroll legislation and company
policy
- Maintain employee records as per government regulations
- Manage pending new hires (Union/Non-Union/Office)
- Manage and maintain the workflow requests such as rehires, transfers, severance payment, salary continuance, lay-offs, promotions etc.
- Process all ROE’s
- Process Auto Taxable Benefit
- Monitor and address inquiries from the Payroll Support Helpdesk such as changes to tax information, banking details, address, contacts details, etc.
- Liaison with branches on payroll related items
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
What You Bring:
- Knowledge of relevant government regulations
- PCP designation preferred – or relevant work experience
- Minimum secondary school education
- Up to 2 years experience in a payroll processing role
- Must have strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Accuracy and detail orientated
- Experience with salaried, hourly, union and non-union payroll is required
