Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, processing bank reconciliations, managing vendor accounts, and ensuring timely payments. In addition to accounts payable you will be responsible for completing bank reconciliations for review by the head of accounting.
Duties:
- Process invoices accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile vendor statements & resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely payments to vendors
- Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and speed
- Utilize accounting software such as Yardi Property Management
- Filing of invoices at the end of the month, and preparation of documents at the end of the year for the auditors
- Bank reconciliations
- Invoicing of tenants
- TMI reconciliations
- Tracking Landlord & Tenant Board matters, and provide solicitor with required information
Experience:
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role
- Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve payment issues
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Yardi, Quick books or Simply accounting
-Proficiency in using Outlook, Excel, Word
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Prior experience as an bookkeeper or accounts payable is preferred

Due to the location of our office you must be able to manage stairs. The ability to lift full filing boxes of about 30lbs is also required. Office is located in a rural setting with no public transport, your own vehicle will be needed.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
