We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor who will oversee the full-cycle Accounts Payable function and will be integral to the Accounting and Operations teams. The Accounts Payable Supervisor manages the entire process from Vendor Master, Purchasing Order, and Accounts Payable check run to all Accounts Payable-related functions. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be instrumental in the Accounting Team while building robust internal control processes.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate month-end closing processes for AP functions and prepare AP accruals
- Supervise and coordinate weekly check runs
- Prepare account reconciliations for AP and liability accounts, identify variances, and propose solutions
- Establish AP policies and procedures
- Manage vendor setup and maintain vendor master database
- Perform vendor analytic reports to assist corporate decision-making
- Lead AP process changes in the ERP enhancement project
- Proactively manage project close-out processes, i.e., subcontract and PO close-out, subtrade’s account reconciliations, etc.
- Manage relationships with substrate, supplier, and vendor by applying sound principles
- Assist with annual budget, monthly forecast, and annual auditing
- Support cash flow management and prepare cash flow report
Key Knowledge and Skills:
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent Teamwork skills with a supportive and collaborative approach towards peers
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong AP technical skills with comprehensive knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to identify issues by using high-level critical thinking skills
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 10 years of full-cycle A/P experience in Construction, Manufacturing, or Logistics
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience is required
- Experience with Viewpoint/Vista is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma with a major in Accounting
- Proficient verbal and written skills in English
