We are looking for a full-time or part-time Bookkeeper to complement our bookkeeping team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full cycle bookkeeping for our clients
- Prepare and file GST, HST, EHT and WSIB remittances
- Complete payroll and source deductions
- Prepare and file T4 information slips and records of employment
- Complete month end and year end processes
- Maintain, review and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Communicate with the CRA regarding information requests, assessments and installments
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting environment.
- Experience preparing payroll, union remittances, HST, WSIB, and EHT remittances.
- Experience preparing T-slips and ROEs.
- Experience preparing and completing personal tax returns.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and client service skills.
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to multitask and a strong sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook), QuickBooks, Sage and QuickBooks Online.
- A willingness to embrace, learn and champion new technology solutions.
- Ability to multitask, meet recurring deadlines and take ownership of assigned client work
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and develop.
