Payroll Specialist - Long-term Contract Opportunity located in Hamilton, Ontario!
Robert Half is urgently seeking a PCP-certified Payroll professional for an exciting new long-term contract opportunity with a Startup Information Technology organization . This Payroll Specialist position will be a hybrid role working 2-3 days on site in downtown Hamilton, Ontario . Major responsibilities will include:
Full-cycle Payroll for 600+ Canadian employees
Process improvements
Resolving payroll issues and discrepancies
Calculate adjustments, benefit premiums, and retroactive payments
Be the point of contact for employee payroll inquiries
ROE's and T4's
Assisting with month-end
3-5+ years of full-cycle Payroll experience
PCP required
Union experience highly preferred
Experience with ADP or Ceridian an asset
Intermediate MS Office and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and initiative
Bachelor or Associate degree in business, accounting, or management preferred
