12,000+, Financial Services takes pride in championing governance and financial stewardship, delivering action-oriented
analysis, and delivering patient and stakeholder service excellence. As part of the Digital Health Plan, one of four enabling
strategies in HHS’ strategic plan, the Financial Services team is working to leverage technological investments to
enhance and transform our service delivery.
Position Summary
Overview: Inform, guide and provide recommendations. Lead design and strategy.
Scope: Large in scope, organization wide integration and impact.
Stakeholders: VP, Director, Manager and Clinical Leaders within assigned program and Peers within Financial Services and FP&A teams
The Sr. Advisor, will work with their assigned program (VP, Director, Manager), key strategic partners and their management teams to achieve and maintain effective financial management, control and strategic planning while working within the corporate policies and procedures of HHS. The Sr. Advisor will inform, guide and provide recommendations, they will also lead design and strategy.
The Sr. Advisor will also be responsible for:
- planning, budget & forecasting for their assigned portfolio,
- monthly overview of revenue and other recurring reporting, including financial and productivity trends presented to key stakeholders,
- designing and monitoring KPIs and managing results with program leadership,
- leading strategic initiatives to increase demand and drive cost savings such as price strategy optimization and standard costing,
- ad-hoc analysis to support key operational program decisions,
- overseeing and improving workflows and processes by identifying inefficiencies and risk areas
- collaborating with program leadership to establish multi-year business plan.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes and skills:
- a background in Financial Analysis, FP&A and modelling
- Experience in business development and business plan analysis
- professional judgment and high degree of problem solving to propose recommendations and solutions on financial and operational issues
- understanding of data structure, analytics and reporting, such as PowerPivot, Tableau, etc.
- ability to navigate and collaborate with multiple key stakeholders including program leadership, key strategic partners and Financial Services
- strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver content to program leadership

Qualifications
The Business Advisor role requires the following:
Education – at least one of the following:
- Professional designation (i.e. CPA, CFA) – enrolment or completion of
- Applicable post-graduate degree (i.e. MBA, Masters of Finance) – enrolment or completion of
- OR the equivalent to the above (i.e. work experience)
Work Experience – 5+ years of experience at least one of the following:
- Financial reporting – including financial statements, audit support, reconciliations, reporting requirement specifically Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS), control framework etc.
- Treasury and cash management – including cash management, accounts receivable and accounts payable, long range planning
- Capital planning – including comprehensive planning, ROI, BROC, prioritization/phasing frameworks
- Investment portfolio management – including strategy and risk management
- Financial planning and analysis – including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Specialized Skills – 5+ years of experience in each of the following:
- Financial modeling
- Financial graphical and visualization
- Financial and Operating Systems
Soft Skill Experience – 5+ years of experience in each of the following:
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
- Communication Skills – both formal (i.e. presentations, management reports) and informal
- Interpersonal Skills
- Collaboration/Team Work
- Informal leadership, coaching and leaderships
