Job Title Head of Finance

Salary $100,000 - $120,000
Position purpose
This role will oversee all Finance responsibilities for Bright HR CA including relationships with key stakeholders in Canada and the UK. As a positive and inspirational people leader, you will coach, guide, and develop your Team and others around you to grow, be accountable and drive the Business forward. Your Can-Do attitude will drive process improvements and efficiencies wherever possible.
Key accountabilities
• Process improvements and automation for Finance and across the Bright HR Business.
• Act as a true Finance Business Partner within the Bright HR business and be a go to person for any Financial or Reporting matters.
• Advise on sales improvements where possible, drive the profitability of Bright HR.
• Presenting and updating Executive Management at regular
monthly meetings.
• Full ownership of reporting, budgeting, (Re-)Forecasting to align with UK reporting of March year end and quarterly reforecasting.
• Further relationship development and reporting between Toronto and the UK.
• Mentor and develop the Bright HR finance team to deliver accurate financial outcomes and processes.
• Lead and manage a small local finance team ensuring deliverables, KPI’s and performance are met.
• Overseeing the tax function (in particular the tax returns, PST, GST/HST, Corp); intermediate understanding of tax and tax practices required.
• Annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes.
• Lead the annual audit and generate accurate and timely
statutory filings.
• Full responsibility of all financial accounting functions and responsibilities.
• Month-end financial accounting and reporting.
• Semi-monthly payroll processing.
• Weekly accounts payable processing.
• Weekly cashflow forecasting and managing of outflows, group finding and cash requirements.
