Position Overview:
LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Payment Processing Analyst in Edmonton, Alberta. Working with the Revenue Operations team, you will be responsible for leading payment processing operations, driving innovation and efficiency within our eCommerce platform. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities for a hybrid office work schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead payment processing operations to ensure efficient and secure transaction handling for a large-scale eCommerce website
- Identify, evaluate, apply, and onboard new payment processors to diversify and optimize our payment options
- Develop strong professional relationships with payment processing vendors and maintain high checkout experience service levels
- Negotiate terms and agreements with payment processors to optimize transaction fees
- Monitor payment processing performance, assess risk mitigation strategies, and implement solutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to payment processing
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog for the Payment Systems Development Team and determine business requirements
- Align payment processing best practices with overall company objectives
- Collaborate with customer support teams and internal stakeholders to address and resolve payment-related issues for our customers
- Conduct market research on payment types, trends, and pricing to keep the company competitive
- Analyze payment processing data to identify trends, issues, opportunities for cost savings, and prepare detailed reports on the findings
- Handle day-to-day tasks related to chargeback prevention services, alert notifications, payment processor communication, and refund policy optimization
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or other related fields
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of managing vendor relationships
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize and lead multiple projects
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
- Knowledge of payment industry regulations and compliance standards would be considered an asset
- Experience with international payment processing and multi-currency transactions would be considered an asset
- Ability to research and review regulation documentation
- Familiarity with emerging payment technologies and fintech solutions
- Highly comfortable working collaboratively with others and enjoying teamwork
- Proactive attitude with strong initiative
