We are seeking an analytical, organized, and self-motivated accountant who can oversee the financial operations of the company. You will work directly with the principals, and the management team to support the overall growth of our company.

Real Estate and Development: We identify and acquire prime properties in strategic locations, focusing on long term value appreciation, sustainable growth, and contributing positively to the communities we love. We currently own commercial and residential properties in Victoria and Vancouver, and are completing construction of a 162-unit multi-family apartment building in the Harris Green neighbourhood of Victoria.
Hospitality: Nestled in what we consider to be one of the world’s most incredible locations, we proudly own and operate Surf Grove Campground and Ocean Village Beach Resort in Tofino, BC. Embracing the wild spirit of “Tuff-City” Tofino, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience of our guests and support the growth of the town.

Who you are:
- Familiar with private & public market investing, the hospitality sector, and commercial & residential real estate.
- Sincere, Intelligent, Conscientious, Inquisitive, Creative, Positive.
- Based in Vancouver, BC.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus (but not required).
- Strong background in accounting with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Proficiency in SAGE 50 and Xero.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, investment evaluation, and modeling. Prior experience forecasting for the hospitality and real estate sectors preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders from many different industries.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
What you will do:
- Conduct financial analysis and valuation of existing and potential investment opportunities - identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate strategies.
- Prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to assess the financial performance, and viability of investments.
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, and economic indicators to identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage bookkeeping team and maintain effective financial operations
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and maximize investment opportunities.
- Work hybrid with many opportunities for travel between Vancouver, Victoria, and Tofino.
