AnyCard is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the growth of our business. The role is a mix of Accounting, Payables management, Analytical reporting and preparing financial reports, statements and filings for various stakeholders. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and the Executive team to provide analysis that enables rigor in decision-making.
Responsibilities:
● Prepare, review, and verify the accuracy of the general ledger, journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
● Submit sales tax returns and maintain supporting documents requirements
● Review financial data and prepare monthly performance reports for Leadership and Operations team. These can relate to performance KPIs, sales, Account management, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Overheads, etc.
● Manage receivables and payables to various suppliers and customers
● Work with Account Management to provide customer related analysis and provide recommendations on improvement areas
● Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
● Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
● Supporting annual budgeting process and review
● Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
● 3-5 years’ experience in General accounting, Analysis, Cash management
● Excellent knowledge of accounting and Finance practices
● Superior problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
● Ability to multi-task and comfort with a startup environment
● Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to use good judgment in communications with stakeholders
● Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills, with attention to details
● High degree of initiative and keen sense of urgency
● Personal integrity; ability to keep company confidences
● Proficiency in QuickBooks, Google Suite, Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
