About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage all financial aspects of our organization. In this role, you will report directly to the COO and work closely with the company's accountant and CEO. Your primary responsibilities will include tracking revenue, expenses, and taxes, as well as producing accurate financial reports. You will also audit our books to ensure financial records are correct and up to date. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping skills who can also assist with office and administrative tasks when needed.
What you"ll do
- Bookkeeping and Accounting:
- Enter and reconcile accounts and expenses in QuickBooks following the Chart of Accounts
- Prepare and process monthly billings and invoices
- Manage Accounts Receivable (invoicing, monitoring cash flow) and Accounts Payable
- Perform monthly reconciliations:
- Compare bank statements with QuickBooks and make necessary adjustments
- Reconcile AMEX accounts monthly
- Handle miscellaneous payments and coordinate with external accountant
- Financial Reporting and Support:
- Generate accurate and timely financial reports for internal review
- Maintain archives and administrative files for the company
- Support management with project-based budget analysis and daily financial management
- Provide aging analytical reviews for accounts payable and receivable
- Assist in preparing budgets and maintaining company cash flow
- Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve issues like credit notes, returns, and RMAs
- Ensure timely electronic payments to vendors and compliance with financial policies
- System Improvement and Collaboration:
- Identify and introduce new operational solutions to improve efficiency
- Maintain the multiple books of accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Work closely with employees to resolve expense entry issues
- Support decision-making by providing accurate financial data and analysis
- Ensure adherence to all company systems, standards, and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience within the IT industry
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required; experience with QuickBooks Time is preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Excel for financial reporting
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote/hybrid environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Friendly and personable, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and external partners
