Keltic is seeking a very detail-oriented and experienced individual to help with our accounting and reporting requirements. This candidate will be proficient in various accounting tasks, possess strong analytical skills and excel at maintaining accurate financial records. As the Bookkeeper, you will help with the day-to-day accounting, including reconciling bank statements, preparing financial statements, and conducting month-end procedures. Additionally, you will collaborate with the President on year-end financial statements, and handle IT-related tasks. The role also involves cross-training for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable roles and assisting with special financial projects.
Scope:
- Prepare monthly & annual financial statements for Keltic Group Ltd..
- Work with the President to finalize the year-end financial statements and provide all documentation needed for the annual review for Grant Thorton and BMO.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
- Monthly balance sub-ledgers to control accounts.
- Monthly update fixed asset schedule.
- Setup and review monthly accruals.
- Month end procedures & reporting each month.
- Clean up trial balance for any unposted transactions.
- Monitor the maintenance of the loan summaries and check monthly loan entries.
- Provide President with weekly and monthly financial reports in a dashboard format.
- Crosstrain for the AR & two AP roles to enable you to fill in for these roles when the regular staff are on vacation or sick.
- IT lead for all computer issues, through trouble shooting and utilizing Supercity OS to resolve.
- Track IT issues for repetitive issues and Supercity OS response times for improvements.
- Work with the President on any special financial or accounting projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with budgeting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable positions.
- Adept at thriving under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organization and time management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity working with excel preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
