Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Accounting Analyst is responsible for providing the full range of accounting functions and monthly reconciliations for the Toronto Marketing and Sales Office.
- Responsible for daily accounting activities, including code and enter vendor invoices, match invoice to accrued cost, prepare payments to vendors, daily cash application, etc.
- Balancing of Sales into Revenue reports to mine production, shipping schedules, and explain variances between sales plans and realized sales.
- Periodical revaluation of sales and purchasing using contract pricing terms and forward prices.
- Complete month end tasks, prepare reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement’s accounts, and ensure any deviations from expectations are investigated and resolved.
- Preparation of periodical cash forecasts for mine sites.
- Preparation of consignment continuity schedules to reflect monthly billings and consumption, determination of deferrals, and balancing of inventories to third party reports.
- Assist with internal & external audits and pull required sample requests in a timely manner.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
