Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Walkerton office. The successful candidate will have experience delivering a full range of services including reviews, compilations, tax advisory, along with technical expertise with T1s, T2s, T3s, T4s, T5s, tax assessments and reorgs.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the tax department, including supervising, training, and mentoring tax staff.
Provide expert tax advice and planning services to clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and other entities.
Conduct tax research and stay current on changes in tax legislation.
Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their tax-related concerns and queries.
Participate in business development activities, including networking and client meetings.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and related documents.
A successful candidate will have:
Qualifications
CPA designation with In-Depth Tax Certification preferred.
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on Canadian tax laws.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
