Job Purpose

The Jr. Accounting Clerk performs accounting-related tasks utilizing knowledge of the entire accounting cycle. This position performs accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.

Responsibilities

Complete morning cash report for all departments
Monitor and reconcile cash and credit card clearing accounts.
Prepare and post bank deposit
Prepare monthly accounts payable cheques reconciling to vendor statements
Manage accounts receivables, making calls for outstanding payments
Distribute all invoices received to respective department managers for authorization.
Post invoices through CDK Accounting System
Post licensing entries, gas receipts and parts manufacturer invoices
Perform various reconciliations including: manufacturer’s statements and floor plan.
Maintain regular supplier files and assign new vendor accounts.
Ordering office supplies online
Perform other tasks based on management requirements and instructions.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of related industry experience.
Background in the automotive or related industry is an asset.
College Diploma or University Degree.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines.
Proficient with CDK, ability to operate PC-based software, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Strong attention to detail.
