Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at Greatway Financial Inc. located in Calgary, AB. The Accountant will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks, including financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, reconciliation of accounts, accounts payable and receivable management, and financial analysis. The Accountant will also assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Proficiency in using accounting software
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA designation is preferred
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial for this role include experience in the insurance or financial services industry, knowledge of tax regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
