The Accounting Administrator is responsible for the daily administration and coordination of the company's accounting operations. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and supports the Financial Analysis Supervisor in preparing reports, maintaining financial records, and assisting with audits. The Accounting Administrator plays a key role in maintaining the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations, complete with following up on outstanding items
- Create and post monthly journal entries
- Process intercompany billings
- Responsible for processing and managing intercompany reconciliations
- Complete various analysis and reconciliations
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal/external customers and vendors
- Various accounts payable functions, including but not limited to statement reconciliation, coding, and data entry of invoices
- Assemble financial data for reporting purposes
- Prepare GST returns
- Assist with year-end review
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements
Requirements:
- No prior accounting experience required, but would be considered an asset
- High School Diploma with an Accounting Certificate and/or Diploma
- Related experience preferably in a construction or oilfield environment
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Proven organizational abilities
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail and results oriented with the ability to multitask, and adhere to deadlines, even in high pressure situations
