FCA Insurance Brokers is looking for an Accounting Clerk with a strong focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to perform a variety of financial tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include processing vendor invoices, managing payments, reconciling accounts, and following up on outstanding balances. You will work closely with the Accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
- Prepare and process employee expense reimbursements
- Process client payments and maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare financial reports, such as AP and AR aging reports
- Assist with payroll processing and other financial tasks as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with company policies and regulations
- Execute other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education with Accounting, Finance, Business, or any related field
- Proven work experience as an Accounting Clerk with a focus on AP and AR
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
- Experience with accounting software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
