Role and Responsibilities
We are currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and organization. In this role you will be primarily responsible for, but not limited to, administration of all payroll and general accounting activities. This is a full-time, on-site position; not hybrid.
Job Description
- Administration of payroll
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Reconcile accounts
- Account payable & account receivable
- Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Other office and administration duties
- Communicate professionally in all verbal and written communication
- Perform other related activities, as assigned
Experience and Education:
- Post-secondary education in business/accounting field an asset
- 3+ years in an accounting position.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of accounting systems and various computer programs.
- Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision and to self-manage work time and priorities
- Able to prioritize tasks and be flexible when urgent matters arise.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.

Training for a variety of skills is available through internal and external training offerings. Employee progress will be evaluated annually through performance reviews.
Starting wage rates/hour will follow the ranges below and will be determined based on skill and experience.
$28- $38/hr depending on experience.
